Acquisition of NHS membership business from Active Solutions Europe Limited
Capita Registrars acquire NHS membership business from Active Solutions Europe Limited
Capita Registrars, part of the Capita Group Plc ("Capita"), announced today that it has acquired Membership Management Online (MMO), from Active Solutions Europe Limited for an undisclosed sum. The acquired business is a web-based service which provides NHS foundation trusts with public and staff membership services.
The acquisition adds depth and scale to Capita Registrars’ existing services for NHS trusts through which it helps them to gain status, recruit new members, manage their register and manage the Council of Governors’ elections.
MMO was launched in June 2007 and has grown to be one of the UK’s leading platforms for the management of foundation trust members, with clients including Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Commenting on the deal, Charles Cryer, chief executive of Capita Registrars said: "This acquisition is a natural fit for Capita Registrars, in terms of our client base, client services and professional staff. Like our existing services, it is designed to support foundation trusts through the entire membership lifecycle from recruitment to retention, participation and measurement."
