Chris Phillips, MRPharmS. MBA
Managing Director of Membership Services, Surveys and Research
Chris joined Capita in 2008 and is now Managing Director of Capita Membership, Surveys and Research Services part of Capita Health who provide Public and Patient membership and engagement services to over 250 NHS trusts across the UK. Before this he worked as Director of Strategic Accounts at Nuffield Hospitals Corporate Medical Services division where he developed the strategic marketing agenda and managed strategic account relations for key corporate clients in financial, legal and energy sectors.
He has led the Public Affairs agenda for the largest healthcare organisation in Europe - Alliance UniChem where he lobbied the government on the value of health screening in improving the health of the nation and worked with the DH, SHA’s and PCT’s throughout the UK developing Long Term Care programmes and Primary Care services.
Chris has experience of leading large complex multi-site healthcare organisations in Primary Care and has lead IT strategy, marketing and call centre teams. He has worked in Human Resources where he qualified for the Institute of Training & Development, has developed global pharmaceutical supplier strategies and gained experience in mergers & acquisitions whilst working for Alliance Boots.
He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Nottingham Business School and has a clinical background as a pharmacist in the NHS and private sector.
